HIFU INDICATIONS
Depending on the need: lifts and reduces localized fat.
It may improve skin appearance, reduce laxity in delicate areas such as the backs of the arms and neck, and reduce fat cells in congested areas.
HIFU is particularly useful for small areas that other technologies cannot easily reach, such as ankles, the back of the neck and knees.
FACE AND BODY
HIFU uses micro-focused ultrasound. One or two sessions may be needed for each treatment depth.
Several depths can be addressed in a single session.
HOW IT WORKS
HIFU is described as producing two physiological effects:
- Subcutaneous tissue contraction with an immediate tightening or “lift” effect.
- Activation of tissue renewal, including fibroblast activity and new collagen production, for longer-lasting firmness and elasticity.
New tissue develops in the treated area, which may become more elastic. The upper skin layers are thereby firmed.
A TREATMENT WITHOUT
SOCIAL DOWNTIME
In most cases, a feeling of tightness follows the session, particularly on the face, and fades within a few days. Benefits develop over the following weeks as the tissue responds.
This was the first non-surgical technique to receive US FDA clearance for brow, face and neck lifting.
